Lock the Flexible Shaft Protective Sleeve with Shaft Lock
With the shaft lock you can lock the protective sleeve of flexible shaft to prevent it from moving back and forth.
We all know that the exposed shaft that is showing after the end of protective sleeve is the weak link in case of immediate rotation stop of the flex shaft. This is especially when the shaft torque threshold limiter of the cordless drill rotating the does not react in time. When this happens, the exposed flexi shaft is the most common place where the flexi shaft would kink.
With the Shaft Lock, you can keep the exposed part of the flexible shaft in the cordless drill end as small as possible.
Prevent Losing Chain Knockers or Brushes to the Drain
The Shaft Lock is surprisingly quite versatile gadget. You can also use the Shaft Lock the same way Brush Locks (discontinued product) were used: To prevent losing a brush or chain knocker into the drain by tightening the lock in front of brush or chain so if the hex screws become loose enough and would slip from the flexible shaft, the Shaft Lock stops it from dropping. This can save crazy amount of time on the job!
The Shaft Lock is installed to the shaft via hex screw(s) included.
