Pivot or Fixed Configurations

Fixed Configuration

The Support Station is commonly utilized in its fixed configuration, which includes a kneeboard. This configuration does not pivot, and the kneeboard offers leverage for the user during transfers.

The padded trunk board's height and angle can be adjusted to suit the user's needs. In this position, the user remains upright and leans forward, facilitating clothing adjustments, hygiene care, or transfers to a rolling commode or shower chair.

Pivot Configuration

For users with adequate lower-body strength, the Support Station can be set to pivot mode without the kneeboard. This configuration facilitates transfers from a wheelchair to a fixed toilet. The padded trunk board in this setup can rotate 180 degrees, with a pivot latch operable by either the caregiver or the user. Supported by the trunk board, users can rotate 90 degrees and then lower themselves onto the toilet.
