PBT is texturized polyester with natural stretch similar to Spandex. The most important characteristic of PBT is chlorine resistant. It's Also resistant to salt water and color fading so It's the best choice for making Swimwear.
PBT does not absorb water and once it gets wet, it repels water quickly.
PBT has a good stretch although not as much stretch as Spandex. Also it feels lighter than Spandex and is smooth and slides through the water.
